An October 2025 Williamson County fact sheet described Liberty Hill Bypass West (Segment 1), a two-lane project from SH 29 west of Liberty Hill High School to RM 1869. It said design was underway, with construction then expected to begin in spring 2026 and finish in spring 2028.
A Williamson County fact sheet updated in October 2025 describes the Liberty Hill Bypass as a two-lane roadway with shoulders and turn lanes between RM 1869 and County Road 279/Bagdad Road. It identifies the eastbound frontage road as the first portion to be built.
Williamson County reports that the Freedom River Parkway East project, part of the Liberty Hill Bypass, is currently in the design phase. Design completion is expected in summer 2027, with construction anticipated to begin in late 2027 and finish in summer 2029.
